Sourced from red onions, the skins yield warm yellow to orange hues with an alum mordant. Suitable to dye cellulose and protein fibers. Use skins at 20% WOF. Simmer the skins with your mordanted fibers for an hour. To obtain deeper hues leave the fibers to cool in the bath overnight before washing and rinsing.
