Oak Gallnut extract is a natural extract prepared from oak gallnut Quercus Infectoria.

For the pre-treatment of cellulose fibers the tannic acid is perfect for cellulose fibers to enhance the fixation of the mordant during the mordanting step. This tannin is light in finished dye color. For textile dyeing any fiber can be dyed with oak gallnuts. It does increase lightfastness of the resulting colors. Use the extract at 6-8% WOF.
