Pomegranate ground rind, Punica granatum. Pomegranate yields soft yellows to green-yellows and is a dyestuff high in tannin and also improves the lightfastness of any dye with which it is mixed. It is used as both a dye and a mordant. For a medium depth of shade use the ground rind at 15-20% weight of fiber. When combined with iron, pomegranate yields warm greys and deep moss greens.
